the United States and Israel have drawn up concrete plans to launch another military strike against Iran

According to U.S. officials and other sources familiar with the matter, the militaries of the United States and Israel have drawn up concrete plans to launch another military strike against Iran after the conclusion of the U.S. midterm elections.

The two sides are reportedly planning a short-duration yet high-intensity military operation and ramping up joint drills, including dispatching military aircraft to fly over Iraq for simulated strike training. During his visit to Israel this week, U.S. Secretary of Defense Hegseth discussed plans for a new round of military strikes against Iran with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Sources indicated that targets for the new wave of strikes may include Iran’s energy infrastructure, nuclear facilities, as well as missile and drone arsenals. Some U.S. officials hold the view that another large-scale military operation could deliver further shocks to Iran’s economy and compel Tehran to make concessions in diplomatic negotiations.
